Stop trying to increase the drops rates of D2 online and ruin a major part of what’s good about the game. Players8 is not needed online because there is already an economy in place to trade the items you don’t need for items you do need. Online you now have a HR or something you can actually use. In single player you just now have this amulet. Oh you found an elite barbarian amulet but you don’t have a barb. Online is filled with items from every player, making the effective value of any given item significantly lower which in turn allows you to obtain the items you need through in game economy. Single player needs players 8 due to the fact that there is no economy to trade valuables to gear up, so they need a boost to drop rates. So when you find something valuable that you don’t necessarily need you can’t do anything with it. In single player you have no means of trading.
